Animate Key Frame Frog

1. I used action script 3.0.
2. I chose to use action script 3.0 because action script 3.0 is newer than action script 2.0. Action script 3.0 is an upgraded version of action script 2.0.
3. I copied the photo from the website and pasted it onto flash and fixed the dimensions to fit the stage. Here are 2 examples of my work.
















4. Richard Williams hand drew his animations and worked on the films The Pink Panther and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
5. I researched him on the Google search engine.
6. The stage was 550 by 400 when I opened it.
7. I used Adobe Flash because it is the only software on our computer that can animate.
8. I used 4 layers including the copied picture from the internet. After I finished tracing the frog I deleted the layer with the copied picture. The second layer is for the frog itself. The next layer is for the background water and the last layer is for the lily pad.
9. For the background, I made most of it blue so that it would look like water. I also drew in a lily pad so that the frog would have something to jump on.
10. We created a frog because it has online instructions for us to learn from.
11. I clicked file then export then export image and then saved it.
12. I created 35 frames.

Three acts and a logline

Logline: On a boring afternoon, three friends go on a shopping trip that may result in the end of a friendship.

Act I
Maia, Amity, and Chester became really good friends after being kidnapped by a high school classmate. This boring afternoon, Amity decides to call up her friends to invite them to the mall. The story begins as they enter their favorite shop, Finally 22.

Act II
Maia and Amity decide to look for a gift for Chester since his birthday was coming up. They both search the rack when they find the "perfect" shirt. Maia and Amity excitedly run towards the cash register to buy the shirt when they look towards each other and realize that they were holding the exact same shirt, but in a different shade of blue.

Act III
Both girls upset that the other chose the same shirt, began to bicker back and forth claiming that their shade of blue is better. Chester finally comes to break the fight up. He breaks the news and tells them that his birthday was last month and his favorite color is not blue, but gray.

Privacy and Vulnerability

1. Empathy "feels connection" and sympathy "drives disconnection." Empathy is perspective taking, staying out of judgement, recognizing emotion, and communication. Sympathy usually begins with the words "at least."

2. Silver lining means a comforting prospect in times of difficulty.

6. People need privacy even when they have nothing to hide. They close and lock bathroom doors, put locks on doors, and put passwords on emails and social media sites.

10. You cannot selectively numb feelings. If you numb all the bad feelings, you end up numbing everything, even the good feelings.

Spock - That One Character From Our Past (2)

Spock: Go easy on the shopping.
Amity: Excuse me?
Spock: I said that you should stop shopping.
Amity: But shopping is my life!
Spock: I predict that in the future, your hands will be wrinkled from holding so many shopping bags. You will be broke and will live on the street.
Amity: I cannot not shop!
Spock: Well, there will be consequences.
Amity: Fine, I will try to shop less, but I am not promising anything!

Spock - That One Character From Our Past

Amity: Hey Maia!
( Maia comes close to Amity, but does not say anything)
Amity: Earth to Maia! Are you alright?
(Maia continues to close in on Amity and stares at her)
Amity: Maia you're freaking me out!
Maia: I'm sorry.
(Maia puts both of her hands up and reaches to try to touch Amity)
(Spock arrives and pulls out his gun)
Spock: Back away creature!
Maia: I am her friend. What creature are you talking about?
(Maia reaches for Amity's face again)
(Spock grabs Amity and puts her behind him)
Amity: What creature are you talking about? Maia is my friend!
(Amity tries to go back to her friend)
(Spock shoots Maia)
Amity: *gasp. What in the world did you do?
Spock: This is not your friend.
(The creature revealed its true form as it laid on the floor. It had a shaggy coat a vacuum like mouth.)
Amity: Thank you so much! But where is the real Maia?
Spock: Don't worry. Maia is safe at home. The creature just decided to take her form.
(Amity sighs in relief)
Amity thanks the stranger once again. She heads home and continued to think about the mysterious encounter.

- says that we insulted him during his high school life and wants to keep us captive forever
- using my shopping bags, Maia's leadership skills, and Chester's tools we manage to escape

Amity's story

     The photographer adjusted his camera lens and then continued to snap pictures as Amity posed for the camera. "Last one...And that's a wrap!" the photographer said cheerfully. Amity walked off the set and thanked the staff. She was extremely delighted that her first photo shoot went so smoothly. After all, she was studying towards an modeling degree. As she walked towards the photographer to thank him, she saw a label on the camera with the name Joshua Crowe on it. "Why would the name Joshua be on the camera?" Amity wondered. She remembered that the photographers name was Jack. She continued to wonder about the strange incident as she walked towards her car. Suddenly a hand clamped over her mouth and then all she saw was darkness.
